2% Magenta Pay Cashback for Payments via QR Code
The société anonyme under the corporate name “TELEKOM PAYMENTS – ELECTRONIC MONEY SERVICES SINGLE-MEMBER SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME” (hereinafter referred to as “TELEKOM Payments” or the“Organizer”), having its registered office in Maroussi, Attica (99 Kifisias Avenue), rewards users of the“Magenta pay” application (hereinafter the “Application”) with 2% Magenta pay cashback (hereinafter the“Reward Program”) for payments made from their Payment Account within the Application through the scanning of a Quick Response Code (hereinafter “QR Code”), in the context of purchasing products and/or services exclusively from participating merchants listed in the “payzy pro spots” section of the Application (hereinafter the“Participating Merchants”).
The purpose of these terms and conditions (hereinafter the “Terms”) is to define the terms of participation in the Reward Program.
1. Eligible to participate in the Reward Program are permanent residents of Greece, who are legally capable, have reached the age of 18, are registered users of the Application and have a payment account with TELEKOM Payments in their name (hereinafter referred to as "Participants").
2. The Reward Program came into effect on 31 January 2025. TELEKOM Payments reserves the right to discontinue it at any time, provided that Participants are informed in advance through any appropriate means, as further described in Clause 16 below.
3. Participants receive Coins equal to 2% of the value of each transaction carried out via QR Code at Participating Merchants, in accordance with the applicable terms of the “Coins” Loyalty Program, available here.
4. TELEKOM Payments’ responsibility is limited exclusively to the awarding of Coins. TELEKOM Payments bears no further liability and neither intervenes nor mediates in relation to any issue arising from products and/or services provided by Participating Merchants, which remain solely responsible for them. In the event that a QR Code transaction is not successfully completed or is rejected for any reason, no Coins shall be awarded.
5.The maximum total monthly amount in Coins that the Participant can receive for transactions made through a QR Code is set at fifteen thousand (15,000) Coins. Once this limit is exceeded, the Participant will not receive any reward for further transactions carried out under these Terms during the same month.
6. The Reward Program applies exclusively to payments made via QR Code through the Application. Any other payment method (e.g. payment using the Application’s virtual or physical card) is excluded, regardless of the value of such transactions.
7. The Coins that Participants will receive, through payment with QR Code, will be stored in the "Coins" section of the Application.
8. The Coins are awarded automatically upon the successful receipt by TELEKOM Payments of the relevant payment instruction. The use and redemption of Coins are governed by the applicable terms of the “Coins” Loyalty Program published here.
9. The Organiser shall not be liable to the Participants and/or any third party for any direct or indirect damages, costs and expenses that may arise from any interruption, malfunction, delay or any other cause related to the implementation of the Reward Program.
10. The data controller is the Organizer, namely the société anonyme under the corporate name“TELEKOM PAYMENTS – ELECTRONIC MONEY SERVICES SINGLE-MEMBER SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME.”
For participation in the Reward Program, the following personal data of Participants (hereinafter the“data subjects”) are collected and processed:
Full name of the customer making payment via QR Code.
Number and total value of transactions carried out via QR Code.
Date and time of execution of the QR Code payment transaction.
Total payment amount of each QR Code payment transaction.
Payment account details held with TELEKOM Payments
In addition, for participation in the Reward Program, the following data relating to Participating Merchants are collected and processed:
Business name of the Participating Merchant where the QR Code payment transaction took place.
Date and time of QR Code generation.
Tip amount received during payment acceptance via QR Code.
Device number used to accept the QR Code payment.
TELEKOM Payments payment account number.
The data are collected for the purpose of providing the reward in accordance with these Terms and for the performance of the agreement concluded between the Participants and TELEKOM Payments, pursuant to which Participants maintain a payment account with TELEKOM Payments for the execution of QR Code payment transactions, in accordance with the General Privacy Notice available here.
The personal data collected are retained for a period of five (5) years from the date of execution of the payment transaction. Upon expiry of this period, the data are deleted unless a law or regulatory provision requires their retention for a longer period, which may not exceed ten (10) years (e.g. for tax purposes)
11. Data subjects have the following rights regarding the processing of their personal data, which are exercised subject to the conditions and requirements of applicable legislation:
Right of Access: the right to receive information regarding the personal data being processed (e.g. purposes of processing, categories of data, recipients, retention periods) and to obtain copies thereof.
Right to Rectification: the right to request correction of their personal data (e.g. contact details).
Right to Erasure: the right to request deletion of their personal data where such data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were processed or where consent has been withdrawn.
Right to Restriction of Processing: the right to request that processing be restricted for a specific purpose.
Right to Object: the right to object to the processing of their personal data.
Right to Data Portability: the right to transfer their data to another data controller.
12. The Organiser has appointed a Data Privacy Officer (DPO) in accordance with the provisions of applicable law. To contact the Data Protection Officer, Participants may send an e-mail to privacy@magenta.pay
To exercise their rights, Participants may:
a. send an e-mail to privacy@magenta.pay or
b. fax to 2102511888 or
c. letter to TELEKOM Payments Customer Service, 99 Kifissias Avenue, 15124, Maroussi with subject "Exercise of personal data rights" indicating their name and the connection number of their mobile or landline phone.
Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint through the online portal of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1–3 Kifisias Avenue, Athens, Postal Code 115 23 | Tel: +30 210 6475600). Detailed instructions are available on the Authority’s website. The Organiser will respond free of charge to requests without delay within one (1) month of receipt of the request. In exceptional cases, this deadline may be extended for two (2) months, if required due to the complexity of the request. In any case, the Organiser will inform about this extension and the reason for the delay.
13. The Organiser shall take appropriate organizational and technical measures for data security and protection against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access and any other form of unlawful processing.
14. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizer shall not be liable for any leakage of personal data resulting from data subjects themselves disclosing information through third-party websites or other online platforms.
15. Clauses 9–15 concern the collection and processing of personal data within the framework of the Reward Program. In all other respects, the processing of personal data during the establishment and performance of the contractual relationship between data subjects and TELEKOM Payments (including, indicatively, registration in the “Magenta pay” application and execution of transactions) is governed by the General Privacy Notice available here.
16. The Organizer reserves the right to amend and/or revoke any provision of these Terms and/or of the Application, modify the duration of the Reward Program or any other aspect thereof, and/or modify the 2% cashback percentage, as well as the method by which Coins are awarded, used, and redeemed, provided that Participants are informed in advance through any appropriate means (e.g. email, push notification, SMS, or the Organizer’s website).
17. Participation in the Reward Program presupposes and constitutes the Participant’s express and unconditional acceptance of these Terms in their entirety. Furthermore, the Organizer shall not be liable for any damage resulting in the temporary or permanent suspension of the Reward Program.
18. Participants must act lawfully and in accordance with accepted standards of conduct, commercial practices, and these Terms. If any act or omission of a Participant is deemed by TELEKOM Payments to be unlawful, abusive, or contrary to these Terms, TELEKOM Payments reserves the right, among other things, to exclude the Participant from the Reward Program.
19. These Terms are governed by Greek law and any dispute regarding their interpretation and/or application shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of Athens, in express derogation of any other local jurisdiction.
